QTROH Chapter 1

Yu Yingying stepped over the railing and stood on the top floor of Daxia’s Yu Group, looking around at the tall buildings and feeling dead inside. An older man in his forties was hurrying over behind her, but he was one step too late and saw the girl disappear from his sight.

The wind whistled past her ears, and with a bang, Yu Yingying felt her bones shatter, her soul floating out of her body.

“I’m finally free,” she murmured as she looked around at the crowd.

The older man who rushed over burst into tears as he hugged the bloody corpse that was beyond recognition.

“I’m sorry,” Yu Yingying murmured, unable to look at the man.

Then she saw him carry her back home, wash her, change her clothes, and bury her. Yu Yingying believed that she would either go to heaven or hell after her death, but she continued to wander.

Five years later…

She followed him for five years, watching as the older man avenged her and then drown his sorrow in alcohol every day until his body couldn’t take it anymore.

“I can finally see you,” the man said as he took his last breath.

Yu Yingying watched as his soul left his body, drifting further and further away. She attempted but failed to catch up. A blinding white light surrounded her, and she emerged in a closed space, empty except for a glowing machine.

“Hello host number 520, congratulations on binding to the Sexual Desires System.”

A red fox suddenly appeared in front of her eyes.

“Who are you, where am I?”

“I am the system administrator, Blaze. This is the system’s internal resting chamber.”

“Let me out, I’m going to find him, I don’t want to be bound to some damn system.”

“You are unable to leave. Do you know why you’ve been wandering for the past five years? It’s because you harbor too much resentment and chose to end your life before the end of your predestined lifespan. As a result, you cannot enter heaven or hell. If this continues for more than ten years, you will be completely wiped out.”

“That’s fine with me, I won’t feel pain then.”

“Do you not want to see him again?”

Yu Yingying knew who the “he” was referring to. Since this system was able to bring her here and knew her personal experiences, it must also know the person she cared most about.

“No, I want to see him.”

“I will send you to see him when the time comes, as long as you seriously complete the system missions, help eliminate grievances, and collect positive energy.”

“I promise you, and I hope you will keep your word.”

She owed too much to the man who had once treated her as if she were his entire life. She would do anything to make amends, as long as she had the chance. In any case, she was already dead, so there was nothing to be afraid of.
