TBG Chapter 3

Moisturize Your Lips

Su Ruan was determined to stay away from this… lunatic in front of her.

Ke Congying grabbed her and said, “Just kidding.”

Su Ruan’s chili powder had blinded a few of the lads, and they were currently writhing and rubbing their eyes on the ground, their wails echoing in the air.

“Ah… my eyes… fuck… that damned blind girl…”

Su Ruan shrank back in terror. Her ears turned to the direction of the sound source despite her inability to see.

“I’m sorry…” she said, her fingers digging deep into her palms and her voice as quiet as a mosquito.

Ke Congying wouldn’t have heard her if he hadn’t been so close. He helped Su Ruan to her feet and stuffed her cane into her hand.

He then lowered his head to look at her face and said, “What are you sorry for, you did the right thing. If someone tries to bully you, simply fight back.”

He tried to control himself, but he just couldn’t. He stretched out and gently wiped her tears away with his fingertips. Su Ruan’s skin was as soft as a baby’s, and when his rough fingertips brushed over it, she stood stiff and still.

Ke Cong was irritated by his impulse after seeing her reaction. “Don’t let anyone else touch your face like this, understand?” He said with a straight face.

Double standards much.

Su Ruan had no idea how to get away from him, let alone stay away from this group of people. Panic surged through her, her fingers trembling subconsciously as she held the cane, and tears fell unintentionally from her eyes.

The guys on the ground continued to howl, and Ke Congying irritably waved his hand, “What the hell are you screaming for! Can’t the rest of you take them to the hospital?”

The others were still waiting for Ke Congying to settle the score with the blind girl, but getting such a result after a lengthy wait, everyone was stunned.

“Brother Ying, this blind girl…”

Ke Congying looked at him coldly before he could complete his sentence. “What blind girl! She has a name! Her name is Su Ruan! Isn’t it lovely?”

Guys: “…”

For a few seconds, the guys exchanged glances, wondering if Brother Ying had taken the wrong medicine. They were about to say something when Ke Congying spoke again.

“I’m warning you: next time you see her, just look on quietly! Whoever touches her will have his hand severed and fed to the dogs!”

Guys: “…”

It wasn’t merely a case of taking the wrong medication. He was just nuts!

“Is your house this way?” When Ke Congying faced Su Ruan, his tone softened ten degrees from his previous irritable tone. “Come on, I’ll help you get over to the other side.”

A stiff Su Ruan was supported by the boy and returned to that road.

There were three or four boys who had been blinded by chili powder still lying on the road. They couldn’t see, but they could hear Brother Ying’s voice, which was deliberately low and gentle.

“Where do you live? Shall I take you back?”

Everyone finally understood why Brother Ying was acting so strangely. He’d set his sights on the blind girl! But… was he fucking insane! That was a blind girl!

The sun shone the brightest at noon and Su Ruan’s lips were dry and chapped from thirst. She was still recovering from her fear and was “supported” by the guy who never left her side. She trembled uncontrollably and was eager to get home. But she couldn’t see, and they were walking too slowly allowing the person next to her to stick closely to her. Although he didn’t touch her again, his presence was overwhelming, and the faint smell of tobacco on him wafted into her nostrils.

When approaching the second traffic light intersection, the boy beside her ran out. Su Ruan breathed a sigh of relief thinking he had probably left. After she crossed the road, that guy brought the smell of tobacco and a gust of wind and stopped directly in front of her. A chilly bottle suddenly landed on her cheek and Su Ruan froze.

The guy unscrewed the cap and held the mouth of the bottle against her chapped lips. In the dry and stuffy air, his breath was heated and voice hoarse. “Take a sip and moisturize your lips.”
