We spent the night in the forest and returned to town before noon. Our adventures are always over in less than a day.

 

[It was a failed adventure this time too.]

[It’s fine like this. It’s okay to continue the adventure, but it’s also important to live in reality.]

 

We took Haruka back to the Daryss family and asked Olphynn a favor. As expected, I’m worried about returning Haruka to his husband’s house so Olphynn would shelter him until the next decision has been made.

I can move freely now, and I can already run so I’m going home. When I told Olphynn to let me thank him, he refused, saying that it’s only natural between friends. But immediately after, he invited me to a meal as a friend. I said ‘Of course’, and nodded gladly. Because Saine said he wants to join us, he will be eating us. Of course, Haruka is coming along, too.

 

The four of us go to the night market. Haruka’s husband is the owner of the lunch stall, but it still makes my heart skip a beat. As I wandered around wondering if he would meet that uncle, Saine tightly hugged me. When I looked up, his pitch black eyes were telling me not to worry. I walk at the market reassured. When I’m with Saine, the things I’m scared of gradually disappear.

I thought Haruka would be more scared than I was, but he walked with a calm face. When I still couldn’t move much, Haruka would go home and talk to his husband many times. I don’t know what they talked about, but Haruka’s look makes me think that he’s really gotten over it.

 

We eat a meal and part ways in the market. Everyone was drinking alcohol except me. Apparently, this is the first time that Haruka has drunk the alcohol here since he reincarnated. He was happy, saying it was delicious, so I also wanted to drink some but Saine stopped me. It’s too early for me, he said.  Is it?  My dad made me drink in my past life so I thought it was okay.

But Saine said no so I didn’t drink. He said he’d let me drink after I’ve grown some more. Until then, I will look forward to it.

 

As we leave the market, the lights go out. I walk with Saine in the total darkness. When I asked him to carry me on his back, he piggy-backed me. This is nice. I wanted my dad to carry me on his back but I couldn’t possibly have asked him that. I was always envious of watching other kids being piggybacked by their fathers.

I feel safe being carried on Saine’s broad back. It’s embarrassing to do this at 15 years old, but it’s not like anyone’s watching. For the first time, I felt glad that the road was completely dark.

When I put strength on my arms wrapped around Saine, he rocked me up and down.

 

[Hold on tight.]

 

Saying so, Saine broke a run on the totally dark road.

 

 

I was dropped off when we got home. Saine lit the fireplace and went out of the room directly. I took out Kyui who was hidden in my clothes and placed him in his usual bed. Kyui transformed into a tiny squirrel while sleeping.

As I smiled while looking at the cooing and sleeping Kyui, Saine came back. I went to the garden as prompted. I can see a warm light in the dark garden. The firing place of the bathhouse was lit with an orange light.

I enter the bath with Saine. It has been a while since I took a bath. I could only wipe my body with a wet cloth back in the Daryss mansion. Saine washed my body, then we soaked in the bathtub. It felt so comfortable that I ended up sighing in satisfaction.

 

[Somehow, I really feel like I’ve finally come home.]

 

When I leaned back and looked up at Saine behind me, he nodded happily.

 

[Me, too.]

[Saine, you’ve been home the entire time.]

 

When I laughed at how funny it was, Saine tickled my stomach.

 

[You’re back, the house feels like it’s back to normal again.]

[Me being here returns the house to normal?]

[Yeah. Without you, something is missing.]

 

Facing each other, I spread my legs and straddle over Saine. I gently placed my hand on the thick chest in front of me.

 

[Is my place here?]

 

When I tapped Saine’s chest, Saine took my hand and kissed it.

 

[There is only you. If you disappear, it will be empty.]

 

I looked up at Saine and cried with joy. I finally have the place that I’ve always wanted. The place that mom and dad didn’t give me. I didn’t have it in my previous life, but I got it here.

 

[I’m glad I reincarnated.]

 

When I said that while laughing and crying, Saine said, ‘I see’, and kissed me sweetly.

 

[You see, I’m a male Reincarnator who can’t get pregnant, despite that, will you still hold me?]

 

We can always live together, but that’s probably just coexisting. In the first place, the residents here embrace Reincarnators because they can give birth, it’s meaningless to embrace one who can’t get pregnant. That’s what Saine said.
